The Running Man by Mario Grooters - Action, Suspense - THE RUNNING MAN is a story about Benjamin Richards.  He is determined to save his little girl from dying of decease.  In a hunt to find the cure, and before he realizes it, he finds himself in a barbarous and cruel game show, in which to date there are no survivors.  After a nerve racking hunt Ben ends up all by his lonesome.  With no more places to hide, The Government offers him a deal.  But when things happen fast and good news is hard to find, Ben decides to end the game... his way!  In the year 2025 the best men don't run for president, they run for their lives. 120 pages - pdf, format 8)

Two points before I've even read it:

1. It's spelled 'disease'. I for one would not read a script where the writer couldn't even be bothered to spell-check his logline.

2. The credited author should really be 'Richard Bachman'. Although King credited his own name to the TV movie of DESPERATION, a Bachman book. But he wrote the screenplay so I'm sure it was his decision.
