SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  Alright... I'm finished.

I have just finished my fall semester. That is why I have been lacking to post or comment on scripts. I had a big video project to work on and I was busy studying for other finals. But, I just want to tell everyone that I am back and ready to read. Also over break I will be working on a short script.

I have also made a metanoia-doctrine of film. Anyone can willingly participate. Here are the rules/regulations:

1. The movie must be shot in less than 72 hours (start to finish).
2. No script; there can be a premise.
3. No artificial or special effects. Whatever happens on screen is what stays.
4. No tripods; the shot can be steady, but no tripods.
5. No film. Only digital video.

This was inspired by the Dogme95 movement. I watched The Celebration (Feste) this weekend and fell in love with it. It was the first Dogme95 film to be made. The movement was meant to return filmmaking to its roots.

Watch for my film to drop mid january. It should be something creative to do. And maybe someone here will be inspired. Let me know if you are interested in this or if you make your own movie. I would love to see it or give advice.

I dont have my own camera. So I went down to the local cable station and they have a program where you pay 25 dollars for a yearly membership and you can use all of the equipment you want. It's pretty awesome!
