Sorry if there is another thread about this film. I couldn't find it, so I figured I'd post this.

I hated the first Fantastic Four movie and my hopes for this one are not very high at all. Silver Surfer animation looked pretty cool, but I'll bet this will be another step down from the already low bar setting for the franchise. It seems a bit of a leap for me that Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Girl are getting married though. Unless I am mistaken (and I probably am) didn't they not like each other at the end of the first movie? I can't remember, I've repressed a lot of that movie.

I didn't see the first one, but I've always liked the Silver Surfer.

LOL - YAY!! I watched the wedding scene being filmed next to my old job in vancouver!! I saw the stuntman that jumps/gets blown over the wedding ceremony edge that's featured in the movie's trailer at present. Too cool - I don't care for the look of this flick much, but may just check it out cos I got to watch it being made for 2 months.

I find the Fantastic Four to be the less human of the superheroes but did enjoy the film for what it was (An origin pic) and you cannot expect much. It wasn't as bad as Elektra, Hulk and others.

I can't identify with them which is a quality that sucks you into certain films more. The Punisher felt like it could happen.

Anyone else vaguely remember a thread for this film? (Could have been another that went off topic)

Unless i win free ticket, like i did for the first one, im not going see this at the cinema. I got in free for the first movie and i still felt jipped. I may hire it when its on DVD, but i won't pissin' my pants in anticipation.

Unless you're in the cinema and really have to go and the people beside you won't let you out.

The biggest travesty here anyway is that the first one was filled every night and Clerks II was baron... I could have sat anywhere I wanted to in Clerks II.

They did not come out around the same time but that is still dumb.

I just like the crowd reaction to films.

Actually, Richard and Sue got married in one of the F4 comic books, and in the cartoon I think they were husband and wife.

I thought the first F4 was pretty funny, though it could have been better. I watched the teaser and I was surprised at how well the Silver Surfer looked. I'm not really a big fan of modern motion-capture performances, but this has convinced me that it can look pretty realistic. This raises my hopes for James Cameron's Avatar!

Motion capture has like it or not become a big factor in modern day  films (an essential), especially comic adaptations. With the Optical system that triangulate any given 3d object they can be manipulated very easily.

I believe that all forms of film manipulation is a very good step forward no matter what the technology. I happen to be among a minority that like motion capture, most of the films and even PS2 games or X360 games you play or see use this great technology... so therefore this is a big part not only for films but for the games industry also. The Wachowski's used this in the Matrix and (Enter the matrix), and a lot of other films have also incorporated this technology... like it or not Motion capture is here to stay...

for those of you that fail to understand what motion capture is FULLY... unless you see it in a film...

Motion capture is, the 3d creation and representation of a live performance. For both movies and also Video games, aka MOCAP, is considered a controversial tool for creation of animation due to it's unrealistic HAND DRAWING nature. Of course this is not drawing whatsoever but the live capture of an object or a human full of tiny motion sensor beads/devices.

Such films as The matrix have relied on this to bring us an amazing breath taking performace, from various scenes. Most films unless Comic book or action/horror orientated do not rely on this. But Motion capture is a 3D render/manipulation of what we would never be able to see until it's conception.

Looking good on film is the work of the director my friend (not the writer) not the technology or where information hails from... And given that CGI is actually  COMPTUTER GENERATED IMAGE I think CGI would be better than Motion capture... firstly you have lot more options, within the software used and you also have the ability to create an astounding effect at hand, secondly The crane in T3 is CGI, where it is flipping over... have a look at that and then look... It's uncanny from real life and CGI...

Anything bad happened in this franchise was casting Jessica Alba as a Matured action woman. She's such a mistake to the whole cast.

In my opinion the first sucked, hard. But everything I've seen in regards to the second film actually looks cool.

Yaa, now i think so after finding out Doug Jones is in the project, playing as Silver. I liked his potrayel as Abe Sapien in Hellboy.. I am looking forward for this one only because of him.
