What is the easiest way to present dialogue that is supposedly in a foreign language.

The actual dialogue will be in English in the script, but I want it to be in Armenian in the film.

What are the rules about this kind of thing?

Just put a note saying the dialogue in brackets is in Armenian?

Cheers, Rick.

Rick,

The way you have it would be correct.  Just put "in Armenian" in parenthetical.  I believe you only have to put it in the first line of dialogue as well, unless you're really switching back and forth.

If you're doing the entire script in Armenian, you can put a writer's note at the beginning of the script, similar to what Breanne did in Singles Camp regarding the Southern accents.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Mike.

That helps.

One question: The entire script is in nglish apart from one scene where there are three characters who are speaking Armenian amongst themselves; would it be better to have parentheticals in the first line of dialogue for each of them, or just have a note at the start of the script/scene?

If it's something in the middle of the script, you'd probably be better off to use the parentheticals.
