I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but recently I got word that Gone Baby Gone was not being released in the UK due to the case of the missing girl Madeleine Macann, the 4 year old Scottish girl that disappeared in Portugal.

Would like to know people's opinions on these drastic measures that are being taken and whether they agree with these.

It will be released in the UK just not got a date yet, they did delay it due to the McCan girl. But it has a very slow release around the world and many European countires have not seen it yet - It aint even released in Australia until the end of March!

I often think the studios are hell bent on encouraging illegal downloads of movies around the world, why else would have top movies released in the US and months later still no sign of them anywhere else?  When perfect copies are available on a 10 minute download from numerous sites and yet there is no legal way for people to see these movies then what do they expect them to do?

Hollywood needs to buck its ideas up quickly, In this day and age movies should be released in the major western markets at the same time.
