Hey guys and gals, just wondered if you have facebook across the pond? I know you do, but is it a big thing over there? Just asking cos it would be cool to check out members pages. We all chat here but really have no idea who people are, at least I don't lol. If anyones interested pm me or drop a message here. I'm friends with Ste Brown already as he wasn't to difficult to find, he only lives about 50 miles away from me lol.

Alffy,

Look for Michael Cornetto in Australia to become my friend.  You can find a lot of other SS users in my friends list.

EDIT: Nevermind I added you.

Facebook and MySpace are fairly prevalent over here. I have a MySpace that I check so infrequently that I don't find it worth the time to deal with Facebook, which would only be one more personal page I don't frequent.

Hey Michael, thanks for the request saves me time looking for you lol.

I just deactivate my facebook account.  I don't even remember why I made it; I never used it.

Besides, myspace is where the cool kids hang out.

So i wont expect a reply from my friend request then Phil lol. glad you said or i'd be wondering why you were ignoring me. Myspace died here in the UK I think, or so i've been told and the cool kids all now use facebook.

With facebook and myspace, I don't automatically accept people as friends (well, I do for pugumentary).  IN my first myspace page (myspace.com/dogglebe), I probably turned down 95% of those who want to be my friend.  THese were just people who wanted to see how many friends they could get....which is kida sad.

Don't you believe it.

Ross, who is 15 now -- or any teen -- will tell you that MySpace is out and Facebook is in.

I know it must be cool because the little f***er flat-out refuses to add me as a friend.

I use it for absolutely nothing -- I am not even sure how to invite a friend -- but if you ask me, I will be your friend Alffy.

I have both, and visit them maybe once a day when I'm bored.

FB annoys the hell out of me with all the ridiculous apps.

Yeah, I don't use myspace at all now but occasionally scan facebook when I'm bored. Once you turn off the majority of email updates it isn't too bad.

I'll have a look for you lot if that's alright? I always find the email of '...has asked to be your friend' pretty funny.

Careful Alffy!  I see a dark van and a roll of duct tape in your future...

And no Doritos!

I definitely agree - I only use my myspace account for my music, and networking other artists. Facebook is a lot easier to use, plus you don't get idiots with 50 Cent background pictures on their profiles which make your internet crash everytime you view their page.

You sound a bit too desperate for me.

I'll pass.

Oh, and check your friend requests!!!

I cancelled my account ages ago, one reason was the never ending stream of posts, requests and pokes that seemed to be filling my inbox. My wife still uses hers and I swear she spends 2-3 hours a day on it, I just have not the time to keep up. A friend of mine uses it to post endless photographs of us on tropical beaches which I am sure only serves to really annoy people back in the UK, I sometimes think it is easier to just cut ties and move on.

The second reason was reading all the conspiracy theories about the CIA and Homeland Security having some sort of involvement in Facebook, some of the evidence I have seen is a little hard to believe but then again knowing our current Governments agendas is not too hard to believe.

You guys may not know about this but certain friendly countries used to not need a visa to enter the US for vacations, from Jan next year we need to apply beforehand online which will no doubt give the US Immigration time to check us out before we board a plane - don't get me wrong, great for national security - but I wonder if they are starting to use things like Facebook to check out who we are friends with, what is worse is who our friends are friends with.

Oh, I have got a tinfoil hat and will be wearing it whenever I apply to enter the US.

I'm there as HB Goldsmith. If you ask to be added, just let me know you're from the board here.

There is no B-Team in iconic 80's television.

Next you'll try to tell me about the Earls of Hazzard.

That flew right over my head, but I deserve it!!!

My "B" operative clings for dear life in a tanning bed aboard the SS Craven. But I'm giving a big thumbs up! "Yeah!" She smiles with the excited grin of a ten year old on Christmas morning just pulling back the enormous wrap concealing an electric scooter.

"Earls of Hazzard!!"

How could anyone have missed it?!

"Yeaaaaah!" :)

I was added by some guy who has the same name as me on Facebook.

That's about the only interesting thing about it.

I <3 facebook. Way better than myspace, which I cancelled in the summer because having 2400+ friends eventually became troublesome. Too many stalkers.

My FB link is in my profile. Add me!

Why did you accept 2400 people as your friends on myspace?  I have two myspace accounts.  The first one (about three years old) only has about 20 names in it.  I've turned down hundreds of others because I have nothing in common with them.

...Because they were good looking. :( And if I added everyone who requested me, I would've had a lot more.

Keep in mind, I was like, 18/19 at the time. My vanity and insecure shallowness were at their peaks back then.
