Pilots Lounge by JD Moores - Drama, Comedy, Suspense, Thriller - No longer is the South the rural aguarian bed of tradition and old-fashioned sensibilities as is plainly evident in the story of Albert Neil, whose family moved from Michigan for work at the new Saturn plant when he was 13.  Now a pilot and flight instructor in his own right, he objects to the relationship between co-worker Tonya Lynn and her male student until, shortly after having just met the student Barack ("Barry") - a friendly young American of Middle Eastern descent - he uncovers a plot by his boss and former mentor to blackmail him into a dangerous scheme of insurance fraud using the FBI's interest in Barry's past associations as leverage. Bondage to the past and the reassessment of who one's friends truly are resonate as powerful themes in this timely, fun and poignant story of friendship, romance, loss and redemption.  127 pages - rtf, format 8)
