Ok, am writing this character into my screenplay. The character is the main character and he goes by two different names. His mistress knows him as , '' Raymond Carter ", but his wife knows him as, " Edgar Allen ". Edgar is his real name, but am unsure as to how to introduce him into the screenplay? Should i write it as, EDGAR ALLEN aka RAYMOND CARTER ?

Hmm you could write something like...

RAYMOND CARTER, (29), Known as EGDAR ALLEN by his wife.  Sit's in the corner reading a newspaper.

Stick with the name that he is referred to the most in the script, but include an AKA in his intro.

The dialogue names in the script should always be consistent throughout. As long as it's clear who is being referred to in the dialogue (whether in the other dialogue or actions), then it works.

If the name needs to change within the script (such as the change from Strider to Aragorn in Lord of the Rings), then it just needs to be clear that the change occurred.
