I have lost all my faith in Hollywood now, but am not surprised, even by this.

Danny Boyle has supposedly been signed up to direct a Steven Spielberg produced remake of Jaws that will hit cinemas sometime next June. It will be the 35th anniversary of the original and I guess Spielberg needs the pension money.

As much as I love Danny Boyle's work, and certainly think he is capable of pulling this off better than most, I really do not see the point and would really question his motives here. What a mess our movie industry has become.

I have to agree that this is pretty sorry news.

But another nice excuse to play the casting game.

Could Russel Crowe replace Robert Shaw?

How about Seth Green for Dreyfuss?

The mind boggles at just how dreadful this might actually be...

All roles, including the shark, shall be played by Eddie Murphy.

At the risk of being exposed as a prat...is this an April Fool's joke?

Because a search on Google produced 0 results. 0. The words 'Danny Boyle Jaws remake', when put into Google news, produced nothing. So either you've got an incredible source, or this is just wild rumour.

This just doesn't make sense on too many levels for it to be true. Boyle choosing to follow up Slumdog with a remake people are going to be so against, Spielberg giving it his blessing by producing...smells fishy to me (pun intended).

haha, very fishy indeed.

One of the benefits of Australia being in front of everywhere else, we get April 1st before everyone.

Sorry, It was worth a try. ;-)
