They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget....

It's 530 a.m April 25th. Have just been to the 4.28 dawn service with my five and a half year old daughter. It's her second dawn service. She doesn't quite understand it yet but knows it's special.
To all the SS aussies and ex-pats around the globe, a very special good morning.

Hi Stevie, as a recent migrant to all of this I am not really into the whole ANZAC day thing, all I know is that the bars all closed far too early last night and this morning the cafe is closed so no usual Saturday morning breakfast for me.

But the thought of you taking your young daughter along to the dawn service this morning is a nice one, good for you. It is good that Aussie kids grow up to understand how lucky we are to be living in a country as great as this. Hope you have a good day.

Cheers Gary. Good luck for the Gunners too. Hope they can get through to the CL final.

If you get the chance, check out the AFL Anzac match on channel 10 this afternoon. It's become a tradition for this day and the emotion is pretty high at kickoff. Even as a neutral spectator it's a great sporting occaison.  90,000 fans packed into the MCG...

Hey Tom! It's actually 1 pm here on the mainland. Did someone forget to tie Tassie up last night? Has it drifted west?

seriously, cheers mate. It's 27 degrees here as Gary will testify. I've mowed the lawn and am getting ready to watch the footy.
