Just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to the group here.

I'm hoping I can get comfortable with the layout (always takes a bit when I join a new message board) and start posting more frequently.

I'm looking forward to reading and commenting on the scripts people upload here. I've been visiting simplyscripts for some time now and never noticed the discussion board. Didn't care to look. I just wanted to read professional scripts. But, I always wanted to join a script writing board and when I discovered this one I had to join.

I'm mostly interested in writing thrillers, comedy, and drama. I've written a few short films (directed a few of them when I attended the New York Film Academy), wrote a spec for Dexter (Showtime), and just finished a feature length drama. I'm currently working on a comedy pilot and I have several other comedies and thrillers that I'm anxious to get started in the future. I just want to write as much as possible. I'm also interested in writing novels and poetry, but I haven't done much of either.

I've been fortunate to work on a few shorts films and also worked on a feature film in 2008 that was accepted to the Tribeca Film Festival. Wasn't my own film, but I worked as a digital film recordist. So, I'm very excited about it's potential success and I hope to work on more films in the future.

I'm letting my recently completed feature script sit for a bit before I go back and begin work on a 2nd draft. Once I complete that draft, I'll consider having it uploaded here for others to offer additional input.

I'll be very active commenting on scripts. It's nice to break from the professional ones and offer some input on others.

I look forward to getting to know a number of you as I continue to visit the board.

I want to be an active poster, read some scripts, and then start posting my own.

I don't want to be one of those guys that joins and then drops his own script without first becoming a part of the community.
