I know there's a rule about never mentioning credits, but what if you absolutely felt that you had to, how would you go about it, properly?

And, yes, there are ways around it, but the best way I can picture is by referencing the credits.

How about

INSERT CREDITS

THE END.

But why do you have to mention this?

Ok. It's just something simple like that? Cool, thanks.

And, mention what?

Sorry, got confused when you said, "Why do you have to mention this?" I thought you meant this post.

Because the only other option I could think of didn't look right.

I'll do the simple look. Thanks, Jay.

I would imagine you're shooting for something more like:

CREDITS ROLL OVER THE FOLLOWING SEQUENCE.

It's one of those things that has no rules, but as long as you're clear, no one will fault you for it.

Yes, and no. There's a sequence going on, but it's over black, but you hear the audio. So, the scene continues over black with people talking and stuff then when the credits ends, the video would come in. Something like that.
