Still so excited from my encounter Wednesday. Kirsten Dunst has always been one of my favourite actresses and I've always dreamed of meeting her and it happened. I knew she was filming Upside Down here in Montreal but I was walking down a main strip and came across her, my heart stopped when I saw her! Weird thing is no one else noticed her, I guess I'm just a true fan haha! But I approached her and she was a really cool girl, she stopped and talked with me for a good 15 minutes! She talked about her movie Upside Down that she's filming, which sounds like it could be really cool, she says most of her scenes were filmed on a green screen. I was just so happy to see she was so down to earth and not a bitch, that would have crushed my dreams. She even said that she's filming till June and would see me around, I almost fainted haha, and I'm not someone who's usually star struck I just have a few favourites that I stick to! Just thought I'd share, it was a really cool experience, so surreal!

That is funny.  Way to go, Kev.  I was actually an Extra in a film she did back in 1998 called "Fifteen and Pregnant".  Of course I never got close enough to meet her like you did.  You lucky dog.  Too bad you didn't have a screenplay to give to her.   Maybe next time.

That's so cool, I was hoping to score as an extra in Upside Down, maybe there's still hope! It doesn't seem like she has a huge fan base, everyone I've talked to was like ew, Kirsten Dunst? haha but I've always loved her ever since seeing her in Tower of Terror and Jumanji haha! I probably should have pitched a script, she was asking good places to eat around the area, I gave a suggestion which I think she went for, I was tempted to stop by but I was trying to play it cool hahaha!

That's wonderful Kev! What is interesting to me is the mystique that people feel around someone who is considered famous.

They're real people like anyone else, but I think we derive comfort from feeling them as bigger than ourselves, or maybe not bigger, but they might hold the quality of something we admire or aspire towards.

This kind of news is fun to hear about!

Sandra, that is what is so weird about it. I'm not usually star struck, I realize these people are regular people. But Kirsten Dunst, I have followed since I can remember back when she was in Tower of Terror and Jumanji. It was so cool to meet her as I've followed and loved everything she has done from Bring it On to the Virgin Suicides! It was so interesting to just have conversation with her because it felt like I was just talking with a friend so it's definitely a realization these people are just like anyone else. But after meeting her, I did go home and watch the Virgin Suicides and couldn't even process I just conversed with this girl!

Next time you see her tell her Razor Light sucks shit through red striped tube socks.  She'll get it a kick out of it.

K,

And if you do see her again don't forget to slip her one. Sorry, my email address, I mean.

I always get those two mixed up. It can be very embarrasing.

For other people.

Great story, Kev. Congrats on meeting her! It's very refreshing to hear that she's so down to Earth. You never know which ones will be friendly and "normal", and which ones will act snarkey and superior.

It's also nice to hear she's doing a movie that doesn't involve Spider-man. Can't remember the last time I saw her in anything 'real'

You know what Kev, I believe everything happens for a reason and nothing is coincidence. For some reason, you were supposed to meet her. I don't know what that reason is.

Maybe it was Someone nudging you to recognize that it seems just too coincidental, and you ask yourself, "How could it be?!" And maybe there's a lot more to it than just coincidence. Whatever that "more" is, I'm sure that you'll figure it out.  :)

Let's leave it at coincidence, Sandra :)

Or if something else, divine reward for Kev's good deeds in life. ;D
