One of the original bad-asses of cinema -- Dennis Hopper -- has passed on.

No need to list his roles here -- we know what he did.

What I am going to miss most is that attitude of his.  There are some people that you just dare not f*ck with, and Mr. Hopper was surely one of 'em.

Thanks for bringing sad news Bert...

Very sad indeed. I seldom get sad when a celebrity dies, but some of them just have big enough charater that you can't help but feeling sad.

One of the greatest - and most infamous scenes - in all of cinema was his scene with Christopher Walken in "True Romance". Hopper was brilliant in it.

WOW, The bassist for slipknot, Gary Coleman now Dennis Hopper.

Sounds like plane crashes. Always in three.

This sucks donkey dick! Even in his B-movie roles, he was always awesome.

Ah damn it! So sad.  Dennis Hopper will always live on in Frank Booth. "Heineken? Fuck that shit!"

An icon of Hollywood's counterculture has passed. They certainly don't make em like they used to.

R.I.P - Mr. Hopper

Well. We knew it was 'in the post', as Irving Welsh likes to say.

Very sad news. Gary Coleman gone too. Strange they should go at roughly the same time.

Still, I mustn't distract from Dennis. True Romance, Easy Rider and stacks of other great movies.

He was a Star, in every sense.

Gone, but he won't be forgotten. And his work speaks volumes. I'll be watching Blue Velvet later today. The least I can do at the mo.

Rest in peace DH. You will be much missed.

R x

EDIT: Just read Led's post. He's right.

One of the all time greatest movie villains of all time. Easy.

Stole the show in True Romance as well.

RIP

Don't laugh, but Waterworld is one of my favorite movies. DH was pretty cool in that, though a tad over the top.

I'd forgotten he was in Mad Dog Morgan, a true story about a psychotic Aussie bushranger in the 1860's.
