Also, why have the scene in which the doctor seems to impale Blade?  Why not have Blade appear to the others and say that the doctor did that to him?

This could be a macabre comedy if it is fleshed out in the right way.  Funny back stories and the doctor seemingly scaring them by acting like Jason from Friday the 13th at one point.  Or maybe even have the nurse play like Jason--to make them realize that they don't want to die.  Then the "real murders" start happening.

Potential here, but the part about Blade wearing that unrealistic contraption has to go.
