Hi guys:
First post. Nice to be here. There's always something new to be learned from forums. Any skills that I have, especially to do with screenplays, have been learned from forums like this.
I have just finished an adaptation and sent a few queries and I got three replies!
I've been down this road before with my books and I've got a stack of rejections to prove it so I'm not holding my breath. Nevertheless, it makes me feel good.
I have now started on my second screenplay which is a true crime story about smuggling on the high seas. I hope to finish this by August. I am using Celtx though I do have Final Draft in my rig. I haven't figured out why yet, I think it's just what you get used to. Anyway, I've given myself an hour off to look around and then back to work. Hasta luego,
Chris.

Welcome to the boards. And be advised, the best way to get people to read/review your scripts is to read theirs.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. Muchas gracias, Mr. Z.
I live on the coast between Mojacar and Aguilas where the beaches have not been commercialised by the tourist trade. I often take my dog to nearby remote beaches and write like hell. It really suits me because of my style of writing. My MS is hand written before I type it in to my PC. I don't get too far ahead of myself because my daily target of words needs to be typed in and this is when more concentration is required: I get two bites of the cherry and it gives me the chance to say, 'Who the hell wrote this?' This is why the finished product isn't quite the same as the original MS.
I always give myself a break from my project and take an hour to eat some fruit and look around a forum or two. It is 5pm right now so I have a couple of hours typing in before dinner; then it's NCIS and a movie before bed ... boring or what?
Up early; quick swim, grab writing bits, dog in car, off to the beach with cooler box filled with San Migs and picnic ... day in day out - what a life!
Well, not every day. Keep writing guys.
Best,
Chris.

Sounds suspiciously like something Sandra Elstree would say: "Who the hell wrote this?" And my finished product isn't anything like the original, like EVER!  ;D  You know those hair iron thingys-- those hair straightners? Yeah those. I need one of those for scripts. But then I don't know what the hell I'd do without all the kinks because they're the fun part. Guess I could give them to S.R. and he can make some Machinimas out of them.  ;D

Hi guys, I'm taking an early break today... last working day of the week, blah, blah.
Anyway, I hope I haven't misled anyone into thinking I am Spanish, sorry if I have.
I am English and proud of it; even though our football team is crap, at least Andy Murray is still bashing his balls around Wimbledon. Nadal might see him off today. Yeah, I know he's a Scot... but we're all Brits at heart.
Thanks, Sandra. Most of everything I write is suspicious, but it's all mine.
Hi colkurtz8, I'll be updating my website shortly with my screenplay work but you can read see some of my work on my books page if you can spare the time.
I am working on a spec right now. Apart from 'FADE IN' there are no transitions whatsoever. The great thing is that I am enjoying it immensely. Right, back to the grindstone. Have a nice weekend.
Best,
Chris.
