Hi guys,

I submitted my short script Judas Mission before Christmas and haven't heard anything about it - should I have got a confirmation email? Has something gone wrong or am I just being horribly impatient?

Many thanks,
MJ

horribly impatient.

It can take as long as three weeks for a script to show up.  In the meanwhile, start reading some other people's work, and critiquing them.  It'll help you get reads when your script shows up.

Ah - I thought maybe that was the case!

I have been tentatively reviewing and plan to do some more.

Thanks Phil!

Also, sometimes Don rejects first place Moviepoet entries, because he thinks that the second place that month was robbed. So it could be that too.  :P

MJ,

Apologies for the delay.  I'm about two weeks behind.  Your script is up at: http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1294377757/ and 'shortly' it will be on http://www.simplyscripts.com/unpro.html .  Unlike Chris' excellent moviepoet.com site, I'm quite manual such that when life intervenes I get behind.

I left a little note for Mr. Z.   :P

Do I need to read some scripts first before I can submit one?

Max,

Script submissions are closed because there is an OWC on at the moment.   Try again tomorrow, they should be open then.   Use this link...

It is short for One Week Challenge, where participants are given a genre and theme, then produce a short script within a week.

The admin is busy posting those scripts now, hence the delay in new submissions.

Oddly, I too am clueless on lingity.

Read some scripts, Max.  And comment on them.  It'll help you get read.

I got my script ready to go... I want feed back from phil and bert so I will wait until the reads peak for the shorts of the owc.  I'm hitting early entry for shriekfest for sure.  This one is good.  Real, real good.

It's a slasher with a tiny twist, lots of drama and a what the hell just happend ending that leaves you guessing who done it and why.

The script is called 'No such thing'.  Watch for it, folks.   It's pushing 30 pages so I don't expect many reads...

I have an Issue I need to discuss with a administrator regarding the rights to script titles... related to a recent submission. What would be the quickest way to do so?

Max, Use the contact link on the top of the page.  I think that will send an email to him.

Why not just ask here?

I doubt your question is something that has not already been addressed in the past.

Bert, I just saw your .sig.  Believe it or not, Charlie Sheen was going to be the genre of the next OWC...

I'm new to the site and need directions on different procedures but  this answers a few questions for me.
I accidentally submitted the draft of my script that I had been doing  rewrites on, so I tried to figure out how to resubmit the revised addition and no one ever got back to me to explain it.
I submitted the revision including a different log line several days ago, but nothing has made it through yet.

If you told Don that your latter script replaces the earlier one, he'll take care of it.

Go to contact and write and tell him, or do I tell him here?

If you already submitted the second version, send him a pm.  If you haven't submitted it yet, you can tell him when you submit.

The rights to a script title?  Chances are you don't have a right to a title and neither does the other guy.

What, exactly, is the problem?
