James McClung is working on a new film Frozen In Time.  James has had a couple of his scripts picked up for production.  Most recently was Abattoir.  

Anyway, Dan Evans, the director, is looking for funding and has just launched a site to track the progress and solicit funds, so if you have a few bucks (or pounds) burning a hole in your pocket, you might consider throwing a few bucks his way.

It's funny. This actually did come up in our initial discussions about the casting. In a word: No. I'm not.

Besides, she'll have to use at least one word. You can't really get far without classics like "the" and "it."

Anyway, big thanks for posting this, Don, and for contributing! As I've seen with Dressel's Casting Kirstin, every bit helps. I've got a lot of confidence in Dan and the film at this point. The script has been, in the best way possible, one of my most challenging endeavors yet and the story's nuts, to say the least. I made a conscious effort to write a script that's actually about time travel and doesn't use it as a cheap plot device.

Congrats and good luck with this, James. Hope that this works out for you. Despite a very different approach and set of views, I don't doubt you view this as I would: it's an achievement and reason for a beer, but it's not the determining factor of your future, which you still very much control.

In answer to your questions - yes!  We do also accept investment roles.  There are 50 Shares up for grabs; each share worth £4,000.  You will be entitled to a 25% interest rate and a % of net profits.  For example, 1 Share = 1% of net profits; 2 Shares = 2% etc.  So to work the numbers, if you invested £4,000 and the film makes £3M, you will receive £32,500.  In USD, that works out around $6,340 investment and $51,514 if the film makes $4,755,214.

Having shares entitles you to:

Exclusive access to investment news via email/special members area.
Visit locations of the film on special VIP days during the shoot and meet the cast (travel expenses not covered - perhaps UK only may benefit from this more.)
Have your name in the credits and have an IMDb page.
Participate as extras on chosen scenes subject to the production schedule.
Attend,with guest, a private VIP screening of the completed Film.
Have the opportunity to make some money.

With any investment, however, there is always a risk that you may not recoup your money.  Although we will do our very best to get this film successful, there is no guarantee.

Thanks, Anthony. Nighy really won me over in Edgar Wright's films so I hope we can snag him too. As for Abattoir, it's so close to being finished, it's not even funny. The rough cut's done. Just a few months to add/touch up special FX. I think 2011'll be its big year.

New website is okay, but I wonder how many people will click through all those pages with text only. I did, but I also know people's attention span is super short. Pictures to go with the text would be nice.

I personally would not have included the page where you mention low budget films that have gone on to make bizillions of dollars for investors...Everyone is doing it and they're usually mentioning the same films.  Just MHO.

Anyway, I wish you guys the best and hope this will work out. I'm saying this from my own experience spending 2,5 years going after 3M for a TV show. It was the roughest rollercoaster ride ever. Sometimes we were promised things by real legit big companies/people and we were high as kites only to be yanked down into the mud at the next moment. Hang in there. Don't ever give up!!!

Looks very nice, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I think the website looks great. I see what you're saying but my attention span can be as short as anyone's and I didn't have any problems with it. Maybe I'm a tad biased but I think the info's presented in a more or less logical way and I'm happy to hear about the British filmmaking industry being strong. A friend of mine even said a few weeks ago that Danny Boyle is the closest thing to a British Steven Spielberg.

Nobody who has any intent to succeed in this industry has any business giving up. I've a lot of confidence in this film and won't rule out success just because it seems like a shot in the dark for guys like us. That's the only fool-proof way to fail. So I am in full agreement.

Didn't mean anything negative at all. Just voiced my thoughts. I wish you the very best with this as I hope you know.  :)

Hi Pia,

The idea of the multiple pages is that it creates a flow through the site rather than a big, 1 page hard sell - people will be immediately put off by this - according to my marketing team.  People who are interested will want to find out more about the film so will click to the next page.  By the last, we are hoping they will be excited enough to be involved.

Thanks for voicing your opinion, though.  We do appreciate all comments.  I have several leads already for finance and one company has offered 'a serious amount of money' - as they put it.  I have another company who sources finance for films too, so I'll be sending off the NDA to them, before sending some documents for their perusal.  Then I'll hit the investors from that angle too.

Here's my too scents on investors and financiers. You have to make the project hot and create a buzz. That's when people get hot and eager to jump onto a project. If/when that project starts to cool or the buzz fizzles then no one wants to jump onboard. If you have access to someone who professionally negotiates or closes deals that would be an enormous help.

In the non-profit organization arena, I learned a very important fund raising lesson.
If you want their money, you have to look like you don't need it. Weird, huh?
People, generally,  want to associate their funds with success, not something needy.
