Here’s the trailer for the Red Dawn remake. After years of delays, it finally has a full trailer and release date. This was filmed in 2009 but they wanted to change the villain (was China but is now North Korea) China is obviously a big market and they didn’t want to lose out. I’m not expecting this to be great but the trailer looks okay…judge for yourselves.

Saw this mentioned on twitter yesterday and thought it was supposed to have been made a year as so ago.  Guess I was right lol.
Looks okay but don't think it'll have the impact of the original.

The original was as cheesy as they come but it worked in the cold war climate. This one however...no fucking way. I read the script a few years ago and it wasn't very impressive. Granted they could have changed a bunch during the shoot but I pretty much recognized all the scenes in the trailer so it looks like they didn't.

I watched the original a few months ago and didn't realise how cheesy it was when I first saw it.  To be fair, a lot of 80's movies a pure cheese.  Perhaps it's best not to go back and watch them now?

the original is a classic.... has a fun 80s charm to it... an intriguing cast.....

and a really good scene dealing with one character's betrayal.

Gonna suck. The original, campy as it was, at least had ruskies, a world powerhouse, but N Korea? Don't think so. An attack on US must be overwhelming for me to bite.

I agree. They should have stuck with China. Much more believable, but we don't want to anger our creditors so.....   ;D
