Hard to believe he's gone.  He seemed like the nicest guy, contrasting his huge appearance.  He'll be missed.

Very tragic news, I think I saw an interview with him on Craig Ferguson. Seemed like a really nice guy.

;D That's Gary Coleman who's about 2 feet shorter than Michael.

He was great as John Coffee and it is a movie I can watch over and over again.

He was such a gentle giant in Greenmile and I believe he was also similar in real life.

RIP

quite a shame. even in the shittiest of movies (the island, the slammin salmon), he was still a pleasure to watch. as others had mentioned, he seemed like a really nice guy. he could have done so much more. bummer.

edit: totally forgot that MCD was in Sin City and Talladega Nights. Dont you put that evil on my Ricky Bobby! Still one of my all time favorite quotes.

Always seems those big boys don't stick around here long.
Hopefully him and Andre the Giant are kicking back and enjoying the afterlife.

A "huge" supporter of MMA, and as others have chimed in, a good guy that I've never heard a bad word about.

Sad, as always.  You'll be missed Michael...RIP, brother!

His performance as John Coffey showed the true and very impressive range of his acting skills. He will be missed. RIP.
