But I'll be taking Mr. Lethal Weapon, Last Boy Scout, Long Kiss Goodnight...Lethal Weapon 2, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Monster Squad, over...
Mr. Zathura! :P

I agree, Brett. I like most of all those movies you mentioned, but Shane Black has a style that for me that was back in the late 80’s and early to mid 90’s which may not come out to a comic book character.
I don’t know the situation or reason why Favreau isn’t taking on the role this time but he did a great job with the first two and was producer on “The Avengers” so he knows the Marvel world.
Just think that taking him away from the director’s chair will be a big loss, but on the same token it could give the franchise a new lease of life.
I really don’t know? Like I said…we’ll see? :)

Favreau wanted to do Disney's new franchise, "Magic Kingdom" instead. That's still mired in development and his Jersey Boys production's in turnaround.
Downey, Jr. and Shane Black go way back. And they did Kiss Kiss Bang Bang together this decade. So, I'm hoping they can make the series more formidable and less fluffballl.
