Enjoyed this one a lot. A good old-fashioned virginity movie with a classic feel for the genre and a great soundtrack. Slight but entertaining.
I sought this out after catching Plaza in Safety Not Guaranteed, in which I thought she did a great job. It was nice to see her have a little more fun, here.
One place this movie really fails, and I think a reason that it's good to look at from a screenwriting perspective, is in its third act. The wrap-up of certain arcs feels way too easy, while others seem to stutter through the third act rather than coming together in any sort of coherent climax. The writing is generally a bit loose, but I think this one put everything in place to lead up to a slam-bang finale and kinda choked.
