I've never heard a professional say #9 and I'm so glad he did.  Very refreshing outlook.

Kinda easy for him to say #9, don't live in LA, because he comes from a family of screenwriters. That's a pretty big in. Not saying he's wrong, just that he probably had some pretty big doors available to him.

Yeah, this was refreshing as well as encouraging. Usually, most successful screenwriters who give interviews like this all say the same thing: Don't be a screenwriter!
