I don't get the title. Since it's action, why not just call it "chasing max and betty?"

Then you use an entire page 2 to describe this guys morning routine. Boring.

So much "tell"  in the action blocks. Your writing and  formatting, on the plus side,  is not bad,  just the content is slow as molasses. You sure this is action?
