Class of 96 by Tania Cook - Drama - Set in the 90's, This dark coming of age drama follows the lives of a group of high school friends over a period of their senior year. This story sheds light on the friendships of a clique of seniors named The Class of 96 and the lives they live outside of school.

Some of these friends live dark lives behind closed doors and touches on Child Abuse, Drug Addiction, Peer Pressure, Promiscuity and lastly the greatest frickin year of all, Senior year. Goochie is the popular jock at school and destined for fame. He's a future NBA star who comes home to deal with his parents broken marriage and and abusive father. PK is the Art Geek whose dream of being a writer, will become the story we are reading. Brandon is unsure of what to do with his life and out to please his parents who pay him no attention. Kevin is the Class Clown who laughs his pain away of dealing with a crack addicted mom and raising his deaf biracial sister. Zeek is the responsible Band Geek who holds the friends together. Destiny is the popular mean girl who hides a dark secret of being sexually abused by her father. 181 pages - pdf, format

Well a couple of things here.  184 pages is way too long.

Next on the title page it says "Rough Draft, June 13, 1978".  What is this here for?  Is this when the story was first written?  This would get thrown into the reject pile very quickly.  No one would read 184 pages of a rough draft unless they were paid to.  Sorry, but that's just the way it works.  Unless there is another reason that it's there?

There are other problems with formatting as well.  You have to take the scene numbers out for a spec script.  Maybe this was a shooting script at one point I'm not sure.
