Eli Roth got the most acting ability from Keenau in an hour and a half than pretty much the guy's entire career.

Unfortunately,

This was pretty stupid. Lorenza Izzo, Roth's wife was a bright spot, but faded by the end.

Beware the temptation of the three-some.

I'm saddened by how Roth has fallen off with his latest two efforts. He was the man during the 2000s. His first 3 films were pretty much consistently great, but Green Inferno was way too tame and Knock Knock was troubled as well.

Here's hoping he writes Thanksgiving completely on his own and doesn't try too hard to censor himself for the MPAA. (I'll settle for him just actually making Thanksgiving, though.)

Quite enjoyed it myself! Thought Keanu acted his butt off in this one. Whoops, just noticed my pun. :)

P.S. Wasn't there already a thread for this? Or else I'm imagining things...

I like Keanu these days so I might check this one out. I watched that weird film The Neon Demon the other night and it was just too arty for me. I wasn't feeling it, you feel? But Keanu, what we see of him, was pretty good. I can't even say it had decent eye candy... the women were all sticks, basically just clothes hangers. So not even worth watching for that.

I kinda see any horror weighing in at around the 7 mark as being a good one... but this one was a let down. I watched it all the way until the end, just trying to figure out what was going on. I did get it, but I feel that it relies more on fancy camera shots and lighting than actual story.

I like Keanu as well. Always have. I'm gonna watch Neon Demon this week. I look forward to that one.

This one, however, wasn't good. The original wasn't good as well. This was slightly better.

The main thing with this movie about me, was that it fell off like half-way through. The ending was Okay, I liked it. The second half of the movie however was pretty bad.

Eli Roth hasn't ever made a good movie, I have stated before and will continue to point it out, I don't know why this guy has any kind of reputation. All his movies suck. Not one was a huge box office or critical hit. Don't understand his hype. He's just a mediocre horror director, who seems like a decent enough guy from what I've heard of him.

This is a remake of Death Games from -77 which starred Sondra Locke. I only know this because I wrote a feature similar in vein as this except my girls were younger and there was no sex. The one girl was a high IQ psycho who had come to seek revenge on the home owner who in turn is a psycho and killer himself. I sent it out for some reads and was told it sounded similar to Knock Knock. Being a big Eli Roth fan, I was surprised I had not heard of this movie. So, I abandoned my script. Anyway, I thought this movie was tiresome in it's attempts to make it erotic, but other than that, I did feel for Keanu's character and thought it was decent.

I have to admit, I was impressed by Reeves. I mean, ludicrous performance, but he really did push himself hard to emote, indeed probably more than I've seen him do in any of his other movies. The rest of the film was some of the stupidest, near-The Room quality shit I've seen in a while. It almost feels like a prank on Reeves. How many dumb lines can we get him to say before he stops taking it seriously? Apparently more than occur in the final product.

As it happens, dug him in Neon Demon. Fun to see him play such a fiendish character.

Finally go to see this and even though reviews have been negative, I went in with high hopes...and I enjoyed this quite a bit, actually.

Unlike others, I was not at all impressed with Keanu's acting, but I felt the girls were very good...and very hot, as well.

The story and setup, IMO, was good, and something that could go alot of different ways - as in it could have been a setup by the wife, a joke by the assistant, or just exactly what it turned out to be.

For me, Eli Roth played this for real, while still winking his eye.  There were many very evil, brutal things going on that very few directors or even writers would think about.  The sex was real and downright dirty.  The girls themselves were downright evil and dirty, yet still so damn cute.

The only real issues I had were that the reasons behind the girls actions was never explained at all, and I think it should have been, the assistant's death was handled like it was no big deal, and the lack of police involvement.

This may be a miss for most, but for me, it's going to be a movie I remember.
