SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Screenwriting Class  /  Looking for Screenplay Editor Beta Testers
Posted by: dubeurre, August 2nd, 2017, 2:55pm
We are developing a new screenplay editor, and are looking for screenplay authors to work with it, occasionally give feedback, and make suggestions.

Compared to existing editors (e.g. Final Draft), our new editor emphasizes the creative process, teamwork and experimentation — technical aspects like formatting should Just Work™ instead of taking center stage within the workspace.

Currently, we are testing an early version that is fully functional but very focused:
* Simple, intuitive writing
* Automatic formatting (sluglines, characters, dialogue, etc...)
* Auto completion of character names, locations, etc...
* Cloud storage
* Works on all systems and devices

For now, we want to nail down a smooth editing experience, hence the limited features, but we will add tons of new features quickly (incorporating your feedback, of course).

If you are interested in trying out the editor, please write to m@dubeurre.com. Existing screenplays can be imported. Please include the following details:

* Device (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, ...)
* Operating system (Windows, macOS/iOS, Android, ...)
* Browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, ...)
* Current screenwriting app (Final Draft, MS Word...)

Let me know if you have any questions. Your input is much appreciated!
