I'm on the hunt for a completed feature-length script. Budget not to exceed $1 million, older-skewing (35-55 target), any genre except horror, and must be able to be filmed in and around Vancouver, BC.

Hey Rene,

I don't think I have anything myself, but I passed this on to a couple people in Vancouver. Hopefully someone will get in touch. Good luck with the search!

Hi Rene,

How set on the target are you?

Which target? The target audience?

Yes.

The investors are older, so we want a story they can relate to. It makes them more likely to invest.

The Cullens are coming home for Thanksgiving. This includes Joe Cullen and his girlfriend Becks, a couple of cops dealing with Joe's recent shooting of a black teen. Chris Cullen, a public defender doing his best to distance himself from an all cop family. And Marnie Cullen, the youngest of the siblings who brings her new black boyfriend Kevon Harris home for the holidays. This proves poisonous to Joe, Chris and their mother Janet, a woman still dealing with the recent passing of her veteran detective husband. A cop killed at the hands of a young black drug dealer.

A PARTY FOR JOEY concerns a once close family attempting to mend broken relationships and face the demons of their past and present. A one location, cerebral and dialogue driven drama in the spirit of The Family Stone and Myth of Fingerprints.
