Oh My God!
I can not see Channing Tatum pulling this off at all. I can see why they cast him; he fits (physically) with what they have done with the character,  but this dude can't act and I don't even want to hear him murder the Cajun accent. I don't know if they are looking for a Rated-R or PG-13. It is set in the 1980s which is weird. I think it could work but needs a re-write.

I don't know who he is and can't be bothered to Google, but if he can't act then you should avoid watching any film that he is in.

I Googled him and his face still doesn't ring any bells. As far as I can tell, the only film I have watched with him in it was The Hateful 8. I only remember two actors from that film, Samuel Jackson and Kurt Russel. So he couldn't have been very memorable.

I don't pay much attention to actors these days... I just know a good film when I see one. To be honest, I'll avoid this Gambit film too. Batman is my limit when it comes to the superhero genre.
