Hi all,


We are looking for a short script to film. A group of us in NJ are coming together with the intention of starting a series of projects so we can all add to our professional and personal experience. Here's what we hope to find:

• A script of no more than 10 pages.
• Open to almost any genre except horror (and probably comedy).
• One to two locations at most.
• A lot of dialogue.
• Should have a "twist" in it.
• Definitely don't want a character piece. Meaning, we want the film to "go somewhere" as opposed to being focused on one person doing something for the whole piece.
• We want "depth" in the script that we can bring to life with music, lighting, and great acting.
• Able to shot low to no budget for the first couple of shorts we do.

We are serious film makers that are currently in corporate video production so we have the chops to do this. We just the right scripts so we can get our hands dirty with projects that are more creative than standard business videos. All credit will be given to anyone working on this with us.

I got an 8 pager that should be posted soon, but the location is way up north in Alaska. Are you able to make a film at minus forty below and keep your fingers, toes, and ears? I've got that in my bucket.  Its 82% Action and 12% Dialogue. The Action moves most of the story. Definitely, NOT a Soap Opera loaded with dialogue.

Hi Steve, thanks for asking. Unfortunately we're not equipped to shoot in that type of location...although we're currently experiencing an arctic blast here.

Michael, I believe Alaska is experiencing better weather than your east coast. LOL

If I can get the funding, I'll hire a camera crew from Fairbanks.  I've work up there before.

Did you find a short to produce yet?

If you're looking to make a short that isn't horror, your best bet is to go with a comedy as they are the most engaging. I have one set in a motel room called "Deadlywinks", which explores the dangerous side of the game of Tiddlywinks:
