Has anyone watched this?

The first season was excellent, the second absolutely perfect, the third good.

But so much to appreciate from a writing point of view.

Seamlessly blending drama, thriller and art.

The second season is a masterclass in writing and directing. Its beautiful work.

Nothing bad to say about any of the seasons, simply amazing stuff.

Superb. One of my top favorite shows the years it was on air.

S1 was a fun tribute to all the Coens' films that actually captured the spirit of their work instead of relying on fan service. Even so, S2 felt like the showrunners weren't content with being that alone and stepped it up big time, almost as if to avoid being pigeonholed before the fact. Hands down the best season. Third was solid and noteworthy for being the furthest removed from the Coens' vibe. My hope was that the showrunners would stop there and claim the win, but it looks like there's a fourth season in the works, which I don't mind at all despite myself.

Writing seems to be the bedrock of the series. Always fresh and compelling yet unhurried. Over the course of three seasons, no signs of getting stuck in lulls or obvious patterns, even though S3E3 could've easily fallen into the former category. Great characters with great performances to go with them. The best ones were often the least obvious and at times revealed themselves to be so later in the game, especially in S2 and S3.

Honestly one of the few carrying the torch for quality shows at the moment, and one that's lucky enough to be memorable at the same time. Good shit.

Just finished season 1 - man, that was solid!

I was less enamoured with Season 3.

Might have something to do with Thewlis' repugnant character. I kept having to look away when he was on screen.

Great ensemble cast including Ewan McGregor playing both feuding brothers and I loved the performances of Michael Stuhlbarg and Carrie Coon in particular  (similar to AllisonTolman in season 1 - the casting has been perfect for the Marg archetype character, but still with a uniqueness of their own) but overall, even with its surreal nod to Twin Peaks (the bowling alley scene) I felt it lost its way a bit, and  I actually couldn't wait for most of the characters to drop off the peg, and be done with it.
