I don't see a link for messaging against someones name.

What do you mean by against someone's name? Report someone? If you're talking about sending someone a message, click on their name and then click on "send a private message. I just sent you a message as a sample.  :)

Copy link address
Inspect

No messaging option if you right click. Well you do use Micro miniture buttons on this website and everyone who has never used this website before would eassly realise that the miniture button with the letter pm means privat message. Administrator did not mention that.

When I click on the pm button it takes me straight to the messaging page. I don't get the options you mention.

It's possible I still haven't figured this forum out.  ;)

What exactly are you trying to do?
What you said first is correct.
Why are you right clicking to get more options?

Either click PM in a thread and send a member a message, or click on the member's name and send a message.
There's also an option to send an email as well.
