Can't believe everyone bailed on sports. I was gonna do one about synchronized swimming. Except it was gonna have lesbian sex and murder and very little actual swimming.

Was the title going to be "Deadpool"?

Title was going to be The Deep End. I kinda still wanna write it eventually.

Also, seems like synchronized swimming would be ripe for comedy. I don't think there's been any movie of any genre made about that sport except for documentaries. It's ripe for a Dodgeball sort of film. Especially since I think the general public (me included) sees it as this staid, boring half-sport. You could have an all female cast of wild, boorish misfits and it would clash perfectly with preconceived notions about the sport.

Or an all male team trying to break down gender stereotypes and finally be allowed to compete at the Olympics!

Oh, wow, that might be even better. Or just one male on the team. How has some idiot executive throwing darts at random words to pick the next Adam Sandler movie not come up with this yet.

I was doing research on it and it's definitely not a simple sport. It's basically swimming, dancing, and gymnastics combined. There's all these different positions and lifts. It was too much to try and learn in a short time.

It's brutally hard.  The timing is insane as well.

What I like about it is that I can do all the other sports to some degree,  obviously not to that level  but I can still do them... But that's something totally different.

Just letting you guys know that I've tallied up everyone's scores thus far (with about 10 hours left to go). Some of you, however, left a few empties in your online submissions, so I wasn't sure if that was intentional. If it was an oversight, feel free to PM me to update your picks. =)

Sean, you should have a score for every script from me, including the one I PM'd you about, right?

Jeff,

Yes, you do. This was just a general message. Some did all, some didn't. I just wanted to be sure that nobody accidentally forgot to do some and skipped them intentionally.

You can PM your completed scorecard to me or you can do it electronically, using the URL on the main page. Either way is fine with me. =)

Just submitted my score card and I wanted to say I had a lot of fun in this competition.  I'm already excited for the next one!

I'm definitely glad I found this community of writers.  The discourse has been civil and all of the notes have been extremely well thought out and helpful.

Thanks everyone!
Brian
