Lol, took me a few reads to understand what was going on.
Reminded me of this urban legend:
This is the transcript of a radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10-10-95.
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States' Atlantic fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers and numerous support vessels. I demand that YOU change your course 15 degrees north, that's one five degrees north, or countermeasures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.
In terms of guessing, I'm totally lost. Something about losing the visuals makes it harder, plus formatting was generally different. Threw me off the scent lol. Curious to see the other guesses~
For the first time ever, I've put something I've written out there for others to see and criticize...
Arrrrrrrgh!!!! and now it looks like I'm gunna be DQ'd or marked down for violating a rule that wasn't even there when I posted it.
I couldn't care less!!! The challenge here for me was to overcome my fear of embarrassment/humiliation/rejection because my writing isn't up to scratch.
So thank you everyone, for your encouraging comments. I really, really, really appreciate it.

Good on you, mate. Just remember it's all in the spirit of helping each other get better at this writing thing, and in the end you wrote something and that's what counts.
Haha, hilarious! Didn’t even know that existed. Yeah, I think I heard that Urban Legend about 25 or so years ago… other variants too, different countries’ naval fleets vs a lighthouse, and it always catches people out, lol.
On another note. Literally, not even a clue who wrote what this time around… your secret's safe for now, at least with me it is.
