Wow!

Can't help it.  When a subject clicks, and the story drops into your head as JK says, then you lay there in bed and it plays out over and over in your mind, getting better every time, you just have to write it down...and I'm happy with it.  We'll just have to wait and see what others think.

Yes, wow. Between work and getting ready for a big holiday dinner I haven't even started yet, but I have been writing a few ideas down on paper (scrapped 2 ideas so far).

Can't wait to read all the scripts. I love the OWC.

It was Detectorists, great show, the writing is phenomenal, that got me into that I usually call my outdoor hobby!

Yes, Detectorists. No "The." Thanks for the correction!

Mad props to Mackenzie Crook. So good. And, Toby Jones is always good.

Anyway, to answer your other question from a separate comment, we bought the Fisher F22. (I say "we" but my wife really lead the charge.)

We've found multiple crushed cans and little else. Our big find was a brass hose nozzle. We had lost it when we first moved into our house 20 years ago. It must have rolled down our driveway and slowly been buried over the years. We cleaned it up and started using it again. So, that's $5 saved.

At least we knew what we were getting into!

I liked the theme. Unfortunately, I won't enter due to my personal matter to take care of. Maybe, I enter next time.

Have a nice day!

I'm gonna have to bow out of this one. Got a good opportunity that I can't pass up. But I'll try and read as many as I can.

But Zack, I was so looking forward to the many, many horrible things you can do with a metal detector.

I have a script written. Just wondering if I should truly submit it. I think I might've broken a rule in the theme, but eh, that didn't stop me from writing!

If you've written about a mental detectorist,  we'll that's an easy mistake to make.

Sean,

Now we all want to read this script.  We're intrigued.  You must submit it. It would be against the rules* if you didn't submit it now after all this hype.

*There are no rules. It's not a contest.  It's a challenge. You're already a winner.

It would still fit the theme.  Under the American's with Disabilities Act, I have to take dyslexia into consideration when accepting or rejecting entries to the OWC.  I can't penalize an entrant because of his/her/their disability.

I think in another thread I decided that it would be against the rules if I didn't accept the entry.
