The May, 2021 Mini Tournament has officially come to a close.
I want to thank each and every one of you (whether you entered 1 round, 2, or all 3 rounds) for your participation. You guys and gal made this challenge the success it was. You all got into the spirit of reading and reviewing and gave up you time to offer solid, constructive feedback which was also positive and polite. So, a big thank you!
P.S. If you're not in the top lot, don't fret. There were lots of great scripts in this tournament that would make equally great short films.
Without further ado, here are the Final Standings based on an (avg of three) :
Congrats, Michael, Matthew & Paul!

Whew! That was close! Michael, Matthew, and Paul are all right there! Congrats on the close win, Michael. You earned it! And well done to all who took part in the challenge. It was a toughie, but still a fun one! Last, but not least, thank you, Don and Libby, for putting this whole thing together and allowing us to continue to share our stories with one another. It means the world to us. |

Oh, and I want to say thank you to LC and everyone else for putting this little party together. I know it's a bunch of work for very little (no) pay. You did a great job creating an excellent challenge.
Major props!!! |

Congrats to Michael, Matthew, and Paul - nicely done and well deserved.
Big thanks to LC and Don for putting it all together. Been a much needed motivation for me to get back into writing (and reading) shorts again after a bit of a creative dry spell.
Good to see such a strong turnout too. I know it's not easy to juggle daily life with writing/reading in such a contained timeframe. The quality of the scripts - particularly in the final round - was very strong. Fingers crossed for potential future productions and/or expansion into a longer format.

Wahey, look at me mixing with the best writers on SS lol seems like only yesterday I was entering OWC's with dodgy rhyming bad-guy dialogue.
Congrats Michael and PK, excellent scripts.
Quite the gruelling challenge so makes me happy to see so many see it through.
Thank you Libby and Don for running, I now have 3 short scripts that wouldn't have even been conceived without the challenge. Long may they continue. |

Congrats, Michael, Matthew & Paul!
I really enjoyed all the scripts.
For myself, I shouldn't be reading 10 scripts in a row, even if they're two pages. Having the time to absorb and enjoy these scripts really helped. And the fact that most were really good!
Congrats to everyone, this was a great contest! |

Thanks, everyone, was an interesting challenge. This is only the 3rd writer's challenge I've entered and they've all been fun. This one was more challenging bc it was 3 rounds. I'm glad my 2nd round script didn't drag me down too much (last time I ever write a script drunk). The 3rd round script was more my voice - 2nd rounder was the worst thing I've ever written. I still haven't read it.
Congrats to Matt and Paul for always kicking ass in these things and consistently knocking out great shorts.
