As usual I'm drawing a blank at the start. I don't have a problem working out what a classic monster is, what's confusing me a bit is this:

One good makeup effect.

A lot of the 'classic' monsters would take up that one good makeup effect and then leave nothing for gore etc. So is that 'One good makeup effect' in addition to the monster?

It just means, that you need to have at least one good make up effect. 😊

The "One Good Makeup Effect" is intended to be for the monster.

p.s. Second script received already.  Also good.

Just started mine, and I'll do the best I can ...but even I'm not that good. Somebody musta been sitting on the Wolfman's shorts for a few months or something. Either that or the Gill Man peed in the pool.

I have decided that my monster does qualify as classic.

I think I'm in.  I haven't done one of these in years.  Fun.

I don't do horror. I did have a comedy in mind - oh well.

Horror can be anything that puts a little scare into you. It doesn't have to be blood and guts. Also, it's good to try things that you normally don't write. Give it a shot and I promise to give comedy a try if that comes up one day.

Dave, have a look at Halloween Baby in Oct 14 challenge, Johnny put lots of comedic elements in that one and scored a mug to boot..

There's plenty of Horror films that have comedic elements or are downright funny (intentionally or otherwise)...

And don't forget.., classic Universal 'Horrors' include Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein and a number of others too...

I'd say go for it Dave
