Thanks Don - proving that you should definitely 'read' if you are going to 'write'

Quoted from Don

  • You can revise your script as many times as you wish up until 11:59 pm on 10/25.

  • I think you mean 10/23 not 10/25, right?

    Correct, Friday 10/23.  Apologies.

And, a lesson to always proof read your work.

I've got an idea, working on it at the moment. I think I've bitten off more than I can chew though. I fully expect most responses to mine to be along the lines of "WTF is going on?"

Best of luck everyone, I'm looking forward to reading these.

No clue yet here, but not much thought put into it either.

I have a 5 AM business flight to Nashville, Wednesday morning, staying the night in Franklin, and getting back late Thursday afternoon.

This is not going to help...

    ARGH!!!!!

Yah.  My five cents here: while I certainly view more modern characters - like Krueger, Meyers, Jason, etc - as classic, I kind of question whether that's really the spirit of this challenge.

And even if it is (yes, I know Don said it was okay), if the goal is production, there's a copyright issue with anything newer.  Which means better to stick to Mummy material (or simliar.)

Those were just examples I had no intention of using.  I was feeling out the crowd (and Don) for something a bit less conventional -- a little more recent, but at the same time, certainly old-school.

First draft done.  You suckers better be bringing your A-game.

The silliest of ideas just visited and now I have to write it. Maybe tomorrow. Ugh - I was hoping it won't come.

My first draft completed today. I'm trying harder in this than the last OWC... nothing thrown off this time. Real effort. Not sure I could call it my A-game... but it's something approaching that.

Even if I did, I'd still be hung out on a laundry rack to dry

DJS...maybe you'll even comment on mine this time around.

I think you seriously owe me at least 15 reads.

I'm only on page 3 and struggling.

Every OWC I think to myself, this time I'll do a pisser, I've always wanted to do a pisser and have a laugh but then a proper idea forms in my head and won't let go. Then I try to write it and it always comes out kicking and screaming like the newborn out of Alien 4.

I don't think I'll be bringing my A-game but I've got a note from my mum explaining why.

I chose not to comment onthe 7wk challenge in part due to my script being delayed. It's hell being stuck on p81, middle of a cliffhanger and your main computer is down. I'm using  a laptop for net and an older puter with FD to do the current OWC.

Besides, I would read about your giant sand crab script.
I'll read it 14 times...just to be sure it was you Jeff
