Who Wrote What and Writers’ Choice The writers’ choice fell into four distinct groups. There was one clear Writers’ Choice - The Phantom’s Song. I created an additional two separate categories – “Writers’ Really Liked” and “Writers’ Liked” as there were two 'herds' (2 and six respectively) of highly 'liked' scripts. The rest are in alphabetical order. Writers’ ChoiceThe Phantom's Song by Richard D. Kinsella writing as The Other Gaston Leroux - Short, Horror - The goal of all true Art is perfection, but what price would you pay to achieve it? - pdf, format Writers’ Really LikedThe Starving Sea by Robert Newcomer writing as Dr. David Reed - Short, Horror - Three on a boat. And a voracious predator. - pdf, format Puta Grasa by Dustin Bowcott writing as Gaston Leroux - Short, Horror - With the help of a mysterious stranger, an unattractive, homosexual strip joint janitor overcomes stiff employment odds and prejudices regarding his right to dance at the club. 9 pages - pdf, format Writers’ LikedJunior's Farm by Steven Clark writing as Roto Tiller - Short, Horror - Something's been killing off Junior's chickens...and it ain't Infectious Bronchitis. - pdf, format Not Born A Monster by Bill Sarre writing as Your Shadow - Short, Horror - A wealthy man seeks an unusual cure for his affliction. - pdf, format S.H.E. Lane writing as Anon. X. SimplyScripter - Short, Horror - Thirteen-year-old Emily is running from something. With the help from her Uncle Jack, she'll run as far as she can. It's not far enough. She will, she must bleed. - pdf, format The Rest (In reverse alphabetical order) The Strange Case by Mark Renshaw writing as Balfour Stevenson - Short, Horror - A psychiatrist haunted by childhood memories, finds himself restrained in his own office and forced to watch the live streaming of a brutal rape. - pdf, format ScaryBirthday by Thorsten Loos writing as Bela Lugosi - Short, Horror - Sam invites Hank to the theater for his birthday, but one should never underestimate a flu. - pdf, format Replacement Parts Too Small by Royle Miralles writing as A Horror Story Writer - Short, Horror - Three friends acting on a dare run into Frankenstein monster looking for replacement parts. - pdf, format Pond Life by Anthony Cawood writing as Harry Essex - Short, Horror - Rumours of a strange creature entice two young friends to explore the distant woodlands and the pond deep within. - pdf, format Parts Are Such Sweet Sorrow by David Lambertson writing as Elsa Lanchester - Short, Horror - A bad marriage can turn you one into a monster. - pdf, format New Order by R.E. McManus writing as Brian Stonker - Short, Horror - Ian is being followed. He only wanted to eat breakfast and finish his book. At first it seems harmless. I'm very pleased that my work is at least 'liked'. I'll take that anytime. Congratulations to Richard D. Kinsella for being selected, and to Dustin and Robert for coming a very close second. And great job to all my 'liked' brethren and sistren and everyone else for submitting to this OWC. I'm very happy with myself for actually taking the time to crank this one out, I'll be submitting a second draft soon. Thanks Don for all you do. |

It's been a fantastic OWC.
Thanks, Don, for a very inspirational challenge and thanks all for the great reviews and votes.
I thought both myself and Dustin ran inspired election campaigns and I'm delighted to have snatched it in the end!
Great laugh on the thread as well. We'll done, all! |

Well done Rick, Bert, Pete, Pia, Dena, Bill, Eric and everyone else that wrote a decent script. Not that I'm putting down the other efforts. We can't hit the nail on the head every time. For every good story, there are a certain amount of bad ones.
I'm pleased to be in the top three but my sweetest victory is in having Jeff love my script and also recognise my talent. |

Congratulations Rick, Dustin, and congratulations Rick, Dustin, and bark Bert! Those were my favorites too. Now, you guys have to tell me, which one of you have a Croatian a girlfriend. I know it Is either you Rick or Dustin. Also, Rick, I have only one thing to say to you. Pic! Pic! Pic! A little disappointed to see so many people and third that I don't recognize their names and I think they didn't read either. To those who read mine, and I have not read yours yet, I will read them over the weekend. |

Props to Rick, Bert, Dustin and others who scored highly. I didn't want to sit this one out but had to. I read maybe 10 of the entries (including the top three) and was impressed with the talent and workmanship on display. Probably just as well I didn't enter! |

My work wasn't liked WAAAAAAAH.
Good job everyone, some really good scripts this time round. Rick, I didn't love yours to the extent others did, but clearly very well crafted, so props for that. And Dustin, great job on Puta Grasa!
I'll take a look in the morning and return reads to those I haven't looked at yet. |

Rick, I don't remember where I read it. It wasn't in this OWC. Maybe during the summer or something. Like Libby said, I think it was either in a comment about a movie or in a script thread . |

Wow...shocking...not the top scripts, because these were the top scripts, but...uh...wow.
Congrats, Rick. Great effort.
Congrats, Dustin. If I could have voted, yours would have gotten my vote.
Congrats, Bert. Another solid effort.
Good job, everyone, except those asswipes who entered and didn't review a single fucking script. Hopefully, you will all be banned from entering in the future. |

A Mummy's Search by Dexter B writing as Helen Grosvenor - Short, Horror - After being awakened in the midst of a massacre, a mummy must search for his dearly beloved to save the world from complete and utter chaos. - pdf, format |
I am still unclear what is going on with this one. Who is Dexter B? Is that some kind of fake name to conceal your identity? This author needs to fess up. |

Congratulataions to Rick, Bert and Dustin.I'm so glad the three scripts I recommended ended up in the top slots.
I'm so depressed that mine ended up at the very bottom lol. Considering so many people's comments were favourable in the thread as well, I thought I would have got some 'considers' at least. Ah well, when I rule the world your deaths will be slow, painful and involve sprouts. |

I WAS going to tell you that The Strange Case was my favorite script but you just had to be a sore looser didn’t you?! Truthfully that was my favorite script and thought you were going to be listed among the top as well. None the less, great job on a great script. |
