I'm still stumped too Henry. By that I mean I've lots of vague semi formed ideas rattling around in my noggin, but nothing concrete that I can settle on yet. I think of something, then discard it, think of something else...And on it goes. Hopefully something will win out.
Two things: As Pia said last time (I think she said it)... This is not a race.
And, Don has stipulated the first 10 is optional to post.
Also, I'm not letting the McGuffin get in the way at the moment. Get the overall story first.
Thanks, Libby/Pia/Bill for reminding me we're still in the first week of this. Who knows, something might gel.
I've got 10 pages and I'm going to submit them. Don't know if I even like them though. The feedback will help determine whether I keep it the way it is, I suppose.
Not that I'm the best at reviewing the first ten pages, but the thing I need to remember is that the first ten don't resolve anything. It's meant to open doors.
The questions I will ask myself when I review the first ten are
Does it make sense ? Have I lost the reader?
Is it interesting? - would someone want to read on?
Does it feel I like a film ? could this be sold?
Can you envisage the type of film this will be? Not in terms of guessing where it will go, but getting a feel for the genre, pace, characters etc
All good fun.
Now, let's read those first ten and see if any of my are ticked off!

How strict is the page-count for posting the first 10? Specifically, if I submit 11 pages instead of 10, am I going to become the outcast of the boards?
The scene on the 10th page leaks over onto the 11th, and I'm really not a fan of cutting of things halfway...

No, you're good. The ultimate goal here is to finish a feature. The one week thing is only for those who'd like feedback on the beginning.
