If you lived were I lived you would think the same way I do. I would not be joking to say that half the population in this town are either drunk or high 24/7. They are scum bags and people I have no respect for. Drinkin itself does not make one a loser, it is how much you consume. If you drink a 30 pack a night, then yes you might be a loser.
I am sorry, but the shear stupidity of this is astounding. How can you equate detrimental drugs, like cocaine, with a drug like Prozac and Viagra? Do you know how stupid you sound?
In a country, such as ours, where some, many in fact, are plied with prescription drugs from cradle to grave -- everything from Ritalin to Prozac to Viagra. It is hypocritical to be sanctimonious, to act as if Lindsay is somehow less moral than the rest of us. This, ultimately, was my point.
How I can equate such drugs is easy. In the end, they're all taken in an effort to make one feel better. It's as simple as that.
It's not atypical for a parent to wake up, pop a Prozac, ply little Johnny with a Ritalin or two, then drop a Xanax. This same parent, no doubt, will tell little Johnny that Lindsay, being a drug addict, is a low-life, scum-bag.
Prozac is a drug that helps people with OCD,depression and Panic disorder. No one takes Prozac to get high or forget there troubles.
Why should they when there are far better drugs available, like, for example, ecstasy. I'm, of course, kidding. I know that many have benefitted from anti-depressants. You, yourself, might, if you'd only give 'em a chance.
Viagra is another drug that is not taken to forget how crappy ones life is. Are there idiots that take it just to stay hard longer? Sure, but it was not meant to be a "party drug" it was meant to give older men there sexual prow-less back.
So if some old man can't get it up, he should be allowed Viagra -- but if a young man, who can get it up, wants to keep it up even longer, he's an idiot? What's the difference, both, ultimately, are taking the drug for enjoyment. Who are you to say how, or whom, should take this drug? What business is it of yours?
I have few vices. I like Cigars and Pipe tobacco on occasion. I have been known to go 6 months or more without even touching a cigar. I drink rarely,and have never been drunk.
I have been depressed since I was 12, and never taken meds for it because of my own personal beliefs. Oh how do I ever make it through the night without being a drug addicted alcoholic?

What a silly, reductionist, argument. There are many studies -- peer reviewed -- that evidence a genetic component with respect to addiction. That said, how and why she is who she is, can't be summed up with a simple "she has no one to blame but herself."

If you are as concerned about this issue as your comments suggest, then I encourage you to write the American Medical Association, They, idiots that they are, believe drug and alcohol addiction to be a medical condition. Quick, write that letter, educate them.
