Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes.  It happens that also, nine years ago on this day simplyscripts was born (well, as http://simplyscripts.home.att.net ).  an early version of the site still exists on archives.org

Thanks for everyone for their participation in the simplyscripts experience and I hope that you continue to find the site of use to you.

Cool. The first annual Simply Scripts convention. Obviously it would have to be held in Virginia.

That's quite a commute for some people to say the absolute least. Air fare's not exactly cheap, hehe. I could be there in less than an hour if I wasn't in college.

Anyway, a second happy birthday to Simply Scripts.

OK, here is something weird.  Follow Don's link to the ancient SS site, and look at "Unproduced Horror".

In amongst the "Scream" and "TCM" knockoffs (some things never change) you will find "Baal, Prince Lord of Earth".

And this same script -- by the same guy -- with the same logline -- was posted again about a month ago.  What's up with that?

Oh, and Happy Birthday, Don.  Thanks again for this endlessly fascinating spot on the web.

Bert,

That's you in the spotlight.

Are you losing your religion?

You're cute...

Haha! I think I actually read that script back when there were only like fifty scripts in the horror section. Long before I wrote my first script. I can't believe it's still around. Weird.

Dr. Newcomer,

Yes, it is the same script.

Is it just me, or does Bert look like he's saying "Hello ladies" with his eyes?

Play on, playa, play on.
