I don't think people "graduate from this site." As Phill mentioned I think most just give up. Or come into something new in their lives where as writing becomes insignificant.

I can tell you, any script I ever write will be posted here first, good or bad. I'm just loyal. Even if I stop writintg i'll still pop in now and again to read some.

Still luv to see someone on this site make it big.... Then they could cough up the dough to produce our scripts... Or never show their faces here again. Tend to believe the latter.

Seems a lot nosier round here than it was.

Now then. I see cynicasm, no, clincialism, nah, err, the cynic in you is alive and well. And that's fine. I have a healthy dose of cynicism just after me tea in the morning. It keeps me keen. And me like beang keen.

Personally I tend to save it for companies. Especially plcs. They're easy to predict. Profit rules their world. Nothing else.

Individuals however, are not easy to predict. At least that's true for ones outside your immediate circle.
They've got all sorts of strange and unpredicable motives. And circumstances.

I'd say no one is getting paid to be here. The door seems always open. We can come and go as we please.

Altruism is alive and well. There's just not enough of it about. If they could swap all that hate and viciousness out there for the other this big ball of rock would be rolling far more happily for all. Alas. They can't. Or won't.

Morrisey memorably once sang "We hate it when our friends become successful."

You could change the word "friends" for whatever suits best.

I wish whoever the best. Hey, it's only the movies. Nobody's gonna change the world with a film. Spielberg, Scorcese, Hell even Kubrick weren't half as influential as the likes of Lennon, Bowie and Dylan were once. Not in my head anyway.

But what they might do is make a few think. And that's a pretty damn fine thing to do.

And yes. They could come back and make some Simply scripts. The best ones. If they were worth it I'm sure they'd consider it.

Keep cooking. Not burning.

Love and peace to all,

Yeah, baby.

R

Same here! Maybe it's best the thread is locked right now so I have time to calm down a bit, that's all I'm going to say.

If you guys want to start discussing the script, it's fine with me.  I have another feature to finish up first, but that's ok.

I think we could try to do the discussion a little differently this time since sometimes the discussion dies down quickly. Instead of trying to discuss one thing at the time we could just open the floodgates and see what happens.

What do you think?

UNlock the thread!!! I've got my roto-tiller all gassed up and ready to go. That script needs some tilling IMO. And I'm a fan of Whedon's work...
