I just had this invite to this channel, and I completely could relate and thought others might benefit from this also. If you ever feel that you might be one of those people who stress and work so hard and can't relax, then know...

You are NOT ALONE.  Although this might not solve the problem for people who are compulsive work-a-holics, it might at least help you to know that others share the same problem.

Here's the link: (unplugged in the sense of script coding)

People who are compulsive work-a-holics do not see their "condition" as a problem. They see the rest of the world as people who are missing drive.

People who are compulsive work-a-holics do not see their "condition" as a problem. They see the rest of the world as people who are missing drive.

I think that "that condition" can be partially attributed to the institutional programming that is artificial and has children growing up "outside of a family or tribal unit". I don't want to go into detail here, but institutional care without real love, it doesn't work. A human can have all of his needs met, but without real love, they die-- if not physically, then emotionally. That then-- that then gives way to the apathetic natures we see. Those people who are missing natural intellectual and creative drives, they are a clear indicator of a more serious problem in our society.

Many of us see others who use descriptions such as "I'm bored"... and we all wonder, "How could you be bored?" Please, come on over, I can give you loads of work to do. Forget about physical space... just here on Simply, there's loads of work. No reason to be bored... and that is interesting because...

We are all trying to find a balance between overworking ourselves and not falling too far into such a complacent state where we lose that proverbial "edge". I still can't find that balance. Partly it's due to the fact that if I sit too long, I feel cold. I've got thick blood and forcing myself to sit for long periods doesn't work for me. That's just a personal obstacle that I thought I would share because we all have something that causes problems. Point is though, really and truly I mean it:

Don't stop doing this. You need to write all of this "stuff" down. Seriously, in five years, you might be totally freaked out to know that some poem becomes grounds for a book. Don't disqualify anything. One example:

I had written only one paragraph of inspiration after reading a book that supplied great inspiration to me. Years later, that poem grew into a short story that was accepted for a small publication. It's not a lot, but someone recognized it and appreciated it.

We all know how it feels to read something and appreciate it. If--- IF-- IF-- We manage to wind up on the other side of the scale where someone is appreciating our word? Well then, we are very lucky indeed.

Perhaps the long-short of this post-- if it's to mean anything, is:

Don't make the mistake of becoming a mere work-a-holic. ...

Try and go back. Become a child again. Just have fun. Can you do that?

If you can, I mean really, if you can, then you will be bringing a whole
group of people with you, and... WE ... WE...

Will never be lonely again.
