I sent my script "No Such Thing" off for some serious critique to Stephanie Rogers... It was a script I had written in a little under 2 weeks for the site, but ended up not meeting criteria as the page limit was busted by about 33 pages.

In this time I've worked with 3 various consultants and spent about 5 month's rent getting this script where it needs to be.  On Friday I received my final critique of it and a seal of approval that it's ready to be sent out, shopped, entered around.

I will be entering Shreikfest this year for the first time ever.  Last year I had a script, not this one, but missed the deadline on the account of my stupid anniversary ... I mean, awesome, lovely anniversary.     I kid... I do.

Anyways, to commemorate this occasion I sat down and drafted up a mock poster of it tonight...  As of late, without any scripts to write, I've been painting and animating like nuts the last 3 weeks.

P.S.  I want to thank Bert for his efforts in the offset on the script -- as you were the very 1st person to have read it.  Poor state it was in.  I'll no doubt wanna send you a copy of it sometime when you feel up for reading it.

Of note, the picture looks much better at standard rez of 13x17 -- but it was much too big to post.  The scaled down version leaves much to be desired.  No tiny hair particles, man.  "ha"

Good luck at Shreikfest! Sounds like you've put a lot of time and money into it so hope it all goes well for you.

Nifty poster as well.

Baltis,

Do you animate by hand or do you use software?

Thanks all... I'm pretty excited about it.

@nomad

I use Toonboom studio pro/which is now animate pro.  I'm not as skilled with pen and paper.  Not enough raw talent...

I'm currently working on an animated project called Braven: the iron sorrow.

It's gonna be a 10 min short bit in the spirit of Conan/Heman... Done in blacks, greys, whites and reds.

I wrote the script 2 years ago and it's just been sittin' around.

I do remember that one.  Somewhat flawed (at the time, anyway), but with a marvelous idea wrapped in its center.

Are you saying you stretched this out to a feature?  What is the final page count?

Shoot me a PDF -- I'll be happy to give some thoughts as time permits.  I do like your stuff more often than not.  And it might be fun to see if I can find anything the "pros" missed.

But you shouldn't put the offer out there if you are not willing to share.  There may be others that would like a peek.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!
