Thanks, man!  Still waiting for the check to arrive, but I actually have two scripts on the rain-slick precipice of production.  Very involved with the horror flick, not so much with the other, much-higher-budgeted film, but a very exciting time!

Quoted from BoinTN
In regards to the subject of the thread, I have had a script picked up from here that is currently in pre-production called House on the Hill 2 (originally House in the Woods 2) seen here first.  And, yes, WGA minimums are paid, but it's a low-budget feature.  Additionally, I've had a producer contact me recently about a script I posted here a few years ago, and we're negotiating the sale of that, now.  Simply Scripts has been very, very helpful and put me in a position to leave the day job in just a few weeks!

That's awesome and highly motivating! Congrats and thanks for sharing!

I would love love love my screenplays to be picked up!

One of my short scripts was filmed by a film student for her project, and even that was incredibly exciting for me, especially since I'm still quite new at writing and started quite young as well.  Besides that, I've actually been contacted a few times about scripts I wrote on here.  One of them never came to fruition unfortunately.  Another writer asked me to cowrite a script with him, but it didn't work out.  So still hoping!

My scripts:

Façade:  In a "film noir" set in the 1950's, a detective investigates the murder of a teenage boy in the quintessential 50's American suburbs, and as he slowly peels back the veneer of the picture perfect family, he realizes nothing is what it seems, unaware of what secrets he will uncover.

Thanks, again!  Had a phone call yesterday with the director about storyboards for the first scene, which was incredibly fun.  So, I'm proof that it does happen!
