Most of these scripts can be located, for edumacational purposes only, if you know who to ask. A great way to learn what it takes for your script to get attention in the biz.
I have the scripts reviewed by Carson if you need any, Brett. He's done at least have of the current Black Listers already. I don't have them organized, so it's easier if you tell me which ones you want, if any.
Dena, I moved all my old scripts to the new computer, so I should have anything you might need. Even if it means the second time I sent it to you! lol
Sorry Kev my old desktop blew up like a volcano and all the information dribbled down the desk legs forming a sandcastle from the sea of plastic and I hated to keep buggin' you
Trying to read more than write now. I think it will help me to learn.

After 7 years at SS, I feel I need to move on. I've read a LOT of scripts here during the years, but I now feel I should read more pro scripts. I still have a few 7WC scripts to read, but after that, I will most likely only read scripts by request. Sad, but....
Appreciate the help you've given me Pia....I am trying to read more, but I feel like I can learn from both pro and amateur scripts.
I started out reading some books (STC) was one recommended to me ...I have at least 100 printed scripts on my shelves..yeah I know stacks of paper...BUT they are old scripts..some of my fav movies. I've read maybe half of them. So, here lies a problem...
Old scripts and even those dated two years ago are good to read BUT more important are the new scripts that are being optioned and sold because I'm telling you, before my eyes, the look, the writing, what companies are buying is quite different....almost evolving. So, this being said, it's important to read both I think.
I still think being here has helped me and it will always help me. It's great to have others we can lean on for advice and the reads/reviews help me drastically. Of course, I'm still in the newbie learning curve but we all have a character arch to travel

I hear you on that... I've had to scale back here due to time management. A lot of my feature reads these days are work related. Either for a company or a colleague I'm working with. It's hard to prioritize Black List reads over those instances.
Coverage as currency is a good way to foster friendships I've learned. So long as they were actually interested in getting notes and not just being praised!
This ain't no 9 to 5 gig. So learning time management is all good!

LATEST NEWS CineVita Films is producing a short based on my new feature!
Hey, cool! I have a bunch of Black Listers, but not all, so I'll keep it in mind. Do you have a favorite?
I don't know where Orange Leaf is. Is that downtown? I go downtown about once every couple weeks. I hit the library, the sea food place, and one of the coffee shops. No, I don't sit in Starbucks with my laptop!
I grew up in Lawrence. It's weird being in Andover now. It's like switching teams. Actually, it's like switching planets.
It is downtown (sorry to the mods for being off-topic). I actually lived closer to Lawrence than Downtown Andover when I lived with my parents. Off of River road. Good times.
I don't have a favorite black list script as I have yet to read any, but I picked out some of my favorite loglines and printed them out for reading. I was intrigued by Jurassic Park, mainly due to the title, not sure how good it is.
Actually, I forgot... I did read The Imitation Game and thought it was pretty good. It seems like it is all "people sitting in rooms and talking" so it might need an update, but that shouldn't be too hard considering the kinds of things they are talking about in those rooms could make for great sequences. I look forward to seeing how Alan Turing is portrayed on screen. I hear DiCaprio has "called dibs" on the project.
'Artist' is not a term you should use to refer to yourself. Let others, and your work, do it for you.
