IMHO, 7WC has a better chance to get produced than the OWC scripts. |

Quoted from Ledbetter We are just in time for a 7 WEEK OWC HALLOWEEN CHALLANGE...
|
I'm confused. How does a one week challenge last for seven weeks? =) Now if we were to do 7 one week challenges back to back, that would be something. |

OWC challenge sounds great.. if nothing else it'll give me lots of good shorts to read from all the heavy hitters on this site. |

OWC sounds great! I'll release the sequel to my first script, apologies for anyone who read it in the October OWC. But really, I do apologize.
A 7WC also wouldn't be that bad but I'd like to see a more narrow theme, kind of like the Christmas one. |

The theme is time travel. Go. |
| 'Artist' is not a term you should use to refer to yourself. Let others, and your work, do it for you. |

Yeah, getting the itch for an OWC.
I really appreciated the 7WC and maybe there is a place for one of those in the new year - January start??
In the mean time a decent old fashioned OWC with cursing, swearing! drunken rants and Jeff banned, again, for 48hrs etc is just what you need as the autumn approaches (northern hemisphere of course)
I've been active in a few others writing comps recently and whilst they are good writing workouts, nothing quite kicks off like an OWC. There are also a fair few active members who haven't been involved in one so far, so good to give them the chance.
As for theme, well I'm sure Don can conjure up something challenging.
Fingers crossed. |

It's been awhile since the last one. I had high hopes for the October one, but I'm pleased to say, I'm too busy! |
Seconded. Getting four features market ready will swallow up my OWC time too. Unless the theme happens to be in line with a short I promised a director! Regards. E.D. |

I don't know, guys. I still haven't recovered from our last 7WC yet... Although, I do have a time travel idea I've been trying to get ready.
The thing about time travel scripts is that there are three kinds:
Back to the Future. The past can be changed and requires a ridiculous amount of payoffs. You'll never write anything as clever as this.
12 Monkeys. The past cannot be changed and requires a ridiculous amount of symbolism. You'll never write anything as clever as this.
Primer: The present is much more prevalent than the past. You'll never write anything as clever as this.
I may have forgotten another type, but those are the main three for now. |

I plan on being in.
I will always try to find the time to do an OWC. Even if I am busy studying the rare Hissing Umbrella Spider in the jungle canopy of the Amazon, I will write my script on murumuru tree leaves and send it in to SS by Brazilian carrier pigeon.
Don might not like that, though. |
