Here's an interesting little link for those looking to get coverage and exposure. Anyone used it? Thoughts? |

This site sounds like bullshit.
It says you don't pay to list your scripts but, in order to be listed, your script must have a certain score by their readers. And to be scored, you must pay for your script to be read.

Wonder if there would be any interest in a 'covered script' section of the site to list out scripts that have received coverage and either 'consider' or 'recommend' and where they got the coverage. Don |

I think this site competes with the Black List site. If I had to choose, I'd go with Black List. At least people have gotten managers/agents from that site. Not sure about Spec Scout. |

I'm throwing a clarification into the ring here... Pretty sure those that have been signed from the Black List were NOMINATED. Not paying amateurs using the new service. The three BL signings I heard about were all 2012 nominees. But, if someone personally knows an amateur BL success story, please tell us! Regards, E.D. |

Sounds like a really GREAT idea Don. It may make it easier on producers. |

My thoughts exactly We know producers do check out the forums, so if there was a subsection designed to make their searches easier, that would be a brilliant little addition. |

Ditto that. A GREAT idea!

I don't think they checkout the forums. More like the home page and click on whatever genre they are interested in from the Unproduced Scripts pages... |

That'd be interesting. It could get us into the mind of the 'readers' and help us know exactly what they find in good scripts. (I'm sure some writers (maybe) wouldn't mind even posting the exact coverage.) I'm still very very iffy on scriptreaders myself. If I needed to get it done, I'd suck it up and get coverage. But I'm not big on forking over a good chunk of cash over to somebody whose main credit is 'Boppin' at the Glue Factory'. I'm happy with banging my head against the wall right now until I force something to happen. But I'd definitely be interested and check out the scripts in that section. - Mark |
