The first trailer for our newest feature film is up. Written and directed by my very own self. Hope y'all enjoy! I will of course keep y'all updated as post-production continues.

Don's edit:
A young man from the future arrives in present day intent on unraveling the mystery of his mother's suicide. A shut-in from a dystopian future, he falls in with a group of friends as they embark on a night of fun, violence, adventure, and romance through the streets and alleys of the city.
And a huge thanks to Felipe and Pia, whose support we couldn't do without! (I didn't miss other contributors from Simply, did I? Let me know if so!)
The trailer looks great. Curious to know if you are shooting it in your home town? Also, are you one of the actors in the film or our you possibly looking to make a special appearance in it? Either way, it must be exciting too see your hard work paying off.
Dirk, the film was shot in and around Vancouver, B.C. The alley fight, for example, is just off Hastings, and boy did we have to stop and hide from the police a bunch. I don't appear in the film as my acting is roughly on par with the cast of The Room, but you can see one of the film's producers, and the director of our previous feature Truth, at 1:24...he's on the far left.

You got any interest in acting?
I would love too but unforunately I live in California. My acting skills is limited to helping friends with their own personal movies I did several years ago so I may be a little rusty but I'm game for anything. Maybe next time.
The movie looks like a lot of fun so best of luck to you getting it finished. I would love to watch it when it's completed.
I've done some directing myself, so I'm going to ask you a few more boring/ nerdy questions about the production itself, if that's alright?
What did your budget and production schedule look like? What was this shot on? (The fps looks like DSLR footage, but I could be wrong). Where did you get the actors from? Same question regarding the crew? What did your crew consist of?
Toby, this film was absolutely tiny. We shot a 92-page script on $5,300 in 9 days. We've got major hookups for gear, so we had some nice full kits, a dolly, and so on, but shooting 10+ pages a day meant that we weren't always breaking a ton of equipment out. We shot 9 days straight...our 1st AD averaged about two hours of sleep a night and I got away with a luxurious three hours or so a night.
You're very right, it's a Canon 5D Mark II.
The cast is composed of local (Vancouver) actors. We held full auditions and saw hundreds of people. The crew is a lot of overlap with our first flick, Truth, but was smaller on this film. So we had:
- Director/Camera op (me) - Director of Photography - Gaffer - 1st AD/additional photography - Sound mixer/1st AC - Boom op - "Art", AKA our Production Designer/Costumer/Set Dresser, haha.
All of the crew members are people that I know and have worked with before. We'd done a feature and four (official-ish) shorts before this, so we've got a bit of a regular group now.
And another teaser for my other upcoming feature, Android Night Punch.
Toby, thanks! The release date is uncertain. We'd like to get it out for Christmas day but we have another project due out in December so things are a bit uncertain. Anyway, within the next few months, for Android Night Punch...possibly a bit longer for April.
